Can you just see the headlines now if someone had the brainstorm to do a product parody featuring a dead dogs. Why is it that in 1973 no one seemed to give a rats ass? In fact, why is it that in 1973 this was viewed as humorous by both adults and children alike? I'll tell you why. Because it's funny. It doesn't mean it's ok to be cruel to animals. It's a completely rediculous joke meant to skewer a popular commercial product of the day. We're so happy we can bring it back.
